Conditions I Work With

Is Your Condition Connected to TMS or Neuroplastic Pain?

Many chronic symptoms — even ones with very different names — can share a common root: a nervous system stuck in a learned pattern of protection. Here are the conditions I most often see.

1Musculoskeletal & Nerve Pain

  • Chronic back pain
  • Neck and shoulder pain
  • Hip pain
  • Buttock pain
  • Leg pain
  • Knee pain
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Sciatica
  • Chronic muscle tension
  • Repetitive strain injury (RSI)
  • Burning, stabbing, shooting, or tingling pain
  • Pain that moves or fluctuates without a clear structural cause

2Headaches & Head Pain

  • Migraines
  • Chronic tension headaches
  • New Daily Persistent Headache (NDPH)
  • Trigeminal neuralgia
  • TMJ (jaw pain, clenching)
  • Tooth pain
  • Ear pain
  • Tinnitus
  • Blurred-vision sensations
  • Light sensitivity
  • Throat tightness

3Digestive & Functional Disorders

  • IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
  • Stomach pain
  • Abdominal pain
  • Abdominal cramping
  • Functional bloating
  • Gas
  • Indigestion
  • Acid reflux without clear structural cause
  • Chronic nausea

4Widespread & Whole-Body Symptoms

  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Widespread, hard-to-pinpoint pain
  • Pain accompanied by anxiety or panic symptoms
  • Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)

5Pelvic & Urinary Symptoms

  • Chronic pelvic pain
  • Interstitial cystitis-type symptoms
  • Pudendal neuralgia (pudendal nerve pain)
  • Vulvodynia
  • Pain with sexual activity
  • Urinary urgency / frequency
  • Chronic prostatitis / CPPS (Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome)
  • Pain without a clear infection or structural finding

6Post-Injury & Post-Surgical Pain

  • Pain that persists well past normal healing time
  • Pain following an injury, surgery, or accident
  • Symptoms that started after a physical event but never resolved

7Nervous System Sensitization Syndromes

  • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
  • Central sensitization
  • Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD)
What These Conditions Often Have in Common

The diagnosis matters less than the pattern.

These conditions can look completely different on the surface — a jaw versus a gut versus a lower back. But many people I work with share a similar underlying story: symptoms that don't fully match imaging or testing, pain that moves or changes, flares connected to stress or emotion, and relief that comes and goes without explanation.

If that sounds familiar — regardless of which name your symptoms go by — it may be worth exploring whether a neuroplastic pattern is involved.
Don't See Your Condition Listed?

This list isn't exhaustive. Neuroplastic pain and TMS-related patterns have been associated with many other conditions beyond what's listed here.

Not sure if yours fits?
That's exactly what the free consult is for — we'll talk through your specific symptoms together.
Already diagnosed with something else?
Many people have both a structural diagnosis and a neuroplastic component. It's not always one or the other.

A note on medical evaluation: This page is educational, not diagnostic. Before exploring a neuroplastic explanation, it's important that any relevant symptoms have been appropriately evaluated by a qualified healthcare provider. Coaching is not a substitute for medical care.

I've written in-depth articles on many of these specific patterns — from moving pain to morning flare-ups to why testing so often comes back normal.
