Service One: Free Consultation

The free consultation is an opportunity to assess your situation and determine whether Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is an appropriate fit. During this session, we discuss your symptoms, medical history, and any evaluations you’ve had with healthcare providers. It’s important that a physician has ruled out any structural or serious medical conditions before beginning PRT, as this approach focuses on retraining the brain’s interpretation of safe but learned pain signals.

You’ll learn how chronic pain can persist when the brain mistakenly continues to send danger messages even after the body has healed. We’ll outline how TMS (Tension Myositis Syndrome) and PRT principles help reverse this process by reducing fear, updating the brain’s predictions, and restoring confidence in normal movement. By the end of the consultation, we’ll have a clear plan for whether and how to proceed with the program.

Service Two: 60-Minute Session

Individual sessions focus on applying Pain Reprocessing Therapy in a structured, practical way to your specific symptoms. Each session typically includes a brief check-in, review of medical reassurance that your pain is safe, and clarification of your current goals for movement and daily activities.

You are guided through core PRT skills, including somatic tracking (observing sensations with curiosity rather than fear), graded exposure to previously feared movements, and cognitive reappraisal of pain as a learned “false alarm” rather than a sign of damage. Together, these methods aim to calm the nervous system, update the brain’s predictions about your body, and, over time, reduce or eliminate chronic pain.
